US Green Card

Permanent residency visaor Green Card, allows US immigrants to live, work and study in USA without obligations. With US Green Card, immigrants have to pay less tuition fees for study courses; have more job opportunities open to them; can own property in the US, and get access to several other privileges that only US citizens get.

There are various channels through which a Green Card can be obtained. However, for which channel an applicant is eligible to apply depends upon various factors, including his current location – whether he is in the US or outside.

Let’s review some of the top channels for obtaining a Green Card

Green Card through Family

To become eligible through this channel you must meet one of the following requirements:

•    An immediate family member of yours is a US citizen. This includes spouse, unmarried children below 21 years of age or parents of age 21 years or older.

•    If you are a family member of a US Green Card holder.

•    If you fall under a special person category, such as you are born to a foreign diplomat in the United States or a widow(er) of a US citizen.

Green Card through a Job

•    You can get permanent residency in the US if you are offered a permanent job, for which you have to first get a labor certification from the US Immigration Department.

•    If, as a businessperson or entrepreneur, you are making a huge investment in the US that will create new jobs in US then you can apply for the green card. Usually, it is expected that you will invest $100,000 -$500,000 in a sector of choice and create at least 10 jobs for US citizens.

•    Immigrants with extraordinary abilities can also get Green Card through self-petition. However, extremely few applicants like Olympic level sport persons and noble laureates  are eligible to apply under this category
Green Card through Refugee or Asylee Status

If you were admitted in the US as a refugee or a family member of an asylee, then after an year’s stay you can apply for permanent residency visa. Those who are granted an asylee status can apply for Green Card after 1 year from the date they were granted the asylee status.

Other Ways to Get a Green Card

Apart from these categories there are many other ways to get a US Green Card. A couple of them are mentioned below.

•    Diversity Immigrant Visa Program, which annually selects 5,000 potential immigrants for Green Card.

•    Specialized jobs, which include occupations like Afghan/Iraqi translator, broadcaster, religious worker, and international organization employee.

Although there is no cap on the number of green cards issued, however, given the ever-increasing pile of applications, there is always a queue of applicants, especially those applying for the green card through job.
Whichever way you choose to apply for the green card it is important to fill in the right form and put in all the details accurately. And if required, you should take help from a visa expert or lawyer.

HOW TO GET SKILLS ASSESSMENT DONE IF YOU ARE AN ENGINEER?

The Australian Migration system proposes an established criteria for the different occupations and level of qualifications needed for skills assessment in a particular field. Engineers Australia is the designated assessing Authority for majority of the engineering occupations. For better chance of an assessment of your qualification, it is recommended to do an initial check on the 'Skilled Occupation Lists (SOL) to determine whether your skilled occupation is listed for being assessable by Engineers Australia. However, if not, there are some engineering occupations such as Engineer Managers that are assessed under different Assessing Authorities like Australian institute of Management.

The most common confusion to the migrants is that the qualification assessment to be entitled for Migration visa and for membership of Engineers Australia are two separate procedures. It is quite probable that one might secure visa for migration but a refusal for membership of Engineer Australia. Conversely, it can be likely that you secure member but fail to be accepted for a skilled migration visa. Engineers Australia is the chief body for engineers in Australia, with over 80,000 members.

Skill Assessment

For skilled migration purposes, Engineer Australia is the prime authority for assessment of professional and para-professional qualifications. It has designed two pathways for recognition of your qualification - a) Recognized engineering qualifications and b) A competency demonstration report (CDR). It is highly required to assess your degree before an application is made. Recognition is necessary to determine if the course of your completion at an overseas education institution is equivalent to an Australian four-year engineering course. If none of the signatory body recognizes your engineering qualifications equivalent to any accredited course in Australia, you may have an option to request recognition through a competency assessment process. Through the Competency Demonstration Report, you have an occasion to showcase that the engineering knowledge and competencies are corresponding or equal to those of the appropriate occupational category within Australian Engineering. You can provide detail work and training documents that you have done to acquire these skills and knowledge equivalent to an engineer with Australian qualifications.

The Engineers Australia website provides an insight into The Migration Skills Assessment Kit, through which you determine occupational category and preparing your CDR submission. To know a course is accredited you need to have details about the university, particular course, the start and finish dates too. It needs to be done by you as a part of preparing your application for migration skills assessment to Engineers Australia. It is also recommended to avail services of a qualified migration agent.

What are the rules to get Denmark Green Card?

Denmark is one country who is waiting for professionals to come to Denmark and work there. After spending five years working in Denmark, can apply for Denmark citizenship if there are no criminal records against the applicant. The Green Card to Denmark and working there is issued on the basis of individual’s evaluation under point based system. All those who score 100 points are applicable to apply for Denmark Green card.

Also, if you get Green Card, the client does not need work permit, as all in Green Card are permitted to work in Denmark.

All who are have Denmark Green Card and move there, are eligible to work anywhere in Europe as Denmark is part of EU (European Union) other than United Kingdom, as it is not a part of Schengen countries.

Now let us explain you how to apply for Green Card and how to calculate your points to know if you are applicable or no. The points are calculated like this:
\
  •   Education: The first thing is that you should have the degree equivalent to Danish degree. The bachelors are mostly in other countries take 3 years but Danish want 4 year degree to get points. If you are bachelors, get 30 points; Bachelors with one year of Masters, gives 50 points; Masters gives 60 points and PhD gives 80 points.
  • IF the Education is related to the positive list mentioned under ministry of high education and science, then will get 10 points as bonus.
  • English: Although you get points for Danish, Swedish, Norwegian and German language also, but we Go For Visa, are putting only English as this more prominent than other languages. If you score 3.0 band in IELTS will get 5 points, from 3.5 to 4.5 will get 10 points, From 5.0-6.0 bands then will score 15 points, IELTS score of 6.5 or above will score 20 points.
  • Work Experience: The experience is calculated only in the last five years. If you have 1-2 years of experience in positive list, then will get 10 points. If the client has 3-5 years of experience and is under positive list then will score 15 points. But if anyone has 3-5 years of experience but not in positive list, then will get 5 points only.
  • Age: It depends on the day the client submits the application. If the client is in 35-40 years of age, then will get 10 points. And if the age is under 35 years, then will get 15 points.

IF the points are 100, then you are applicable to apply for the same. Go For Visa can help you to calculate your points, free of cost and also will help you for applying for the same. Just send your CV at info@goforvisa.com and we will help you for the same.

2.  All are applicable if they score 100 points for Denmark Green Card, or no?
Denmark has made the rules for Green Card Visa. This means that anyone who scores 100 points is eligible for applying and getting Green Card for Denmark. This visa gives them the full right to work and live in Denmark for the first three years. After three years can apply for extension of one year and then can apply for extension of four years.

As per the rules, yes all who score 100 points are applicable to get Green Card of Denmark. To calculate the points, you need to see the points in terms of Age, Language, Work experience and Education. But even if you are applicable for Green card and are scoring the points as 100 or more then also need to take care of few things before you apply for your application.

Firstly, you have to see that you have got your Education assessment done. Only in the category of Mechanical Engineer, Building Engineer, Naval Architect, Electrical Engineer, and IT Engineer you do not have to get the educational documents attested by Danish Authorization otherwise, you first need to have your educational documents authorized by related Danish Authorities.

There is also a difference in Bachelors degree in many streams from India. In India or many other countries in general, bachelors of few occupations is done in 3 years but in Denmark these are mostly done in 4 years, therefore need to take care on that.

Also you need to take care of one more thing, which many people forget. This is about points you get under work experience. If the category of profession you are applying for is not included in the positive list then as per your work experience of 3-5 years will not get full points, will only get 5 points for the same.  If you want permanent residency in Denmark to become their citizen after Denmark Green Card, you have to spend 5 years in this Green Card Visa and then are applicable to settle in Denmark for your future. All you need to see is that you have not under criminal activity.

If you want more information or guidance, come to us, Go For Visa. We have lot of experience in terms of Denmark Green Card and also Citizenship in Denmark. Just mail us your query at info@goforvisa.com and will come back to you shortly to take care of your thought or application for Denmark.

How to Know Whether Your Immigration Consultant is Legitimate or Not

For any person immigrating to new country is a big decision. The process can make you emotionally upset and physically drained and then too you may not get the visa because of some slip.To get your visa approved in timely manner it is always advisable to get assistance of a reliable immigration consultant who can guide you through the process smoothly, despite the intricacies involved.

However, it is important that before you opt for the immigration services of a visa company, you must ensure its authenticity. Doing a little research on the subject can save you a lot of headache and heart ache, which you are likely to get if you fall in the wrong hands.

There are several ways to find out whether a visa consultant is genuine or fraud. The simplest way to verify their authenticity is to check whether they are registered or not and hold a certificate issued by the immigration authority of the country they are sponsoring visa for. To verify it further, you can also check on the website of the immigration department of the corresponding country, where the names and details of all legitimate immigration consultants are logged. For instance, if you are applying for Canada visa, then visit www.cic.gc.ca and you will get all the information regarding whom you can choose as your immigration representative.

In addition, the visa services offered by a consultant are another way to tell whether he is actually helping you or just wants your money. If a consultant asks you to display false information in your visa application, or asks for extra fee for every bit of assistance he is providing you, then you should better opt out from his services. Ideally, an immigration consultant’s goal should be to help you in achieving your goal of getting the desired visa as smoothly as possible. Keeping the picture in mind, he should also be able to guide you during the process.

We, at Go For Visa, follow this approach in providing immigration services to our clients. We believe that fulfilling your dreams is our duty. Our dedicated and experienced immigration consultants stay with you from the first step to the last step of the immigration process, and even afterwards. Whether it is making clients understand about all the regulations and eligibility criteria for a particular visa, or coaching applicants for scoring more in the skills assessment and for interview with the immigration authorities, we try to provide every last inch of help that we have to offer to our customers.
